In an attempt to bridge gap between voters and their leader, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has launched a mobile application that allows citizens to directly send message to PTI Chairman Imran Khan regarding any issue they face in their respective constituency, reveals a PTI social media team official.

In an interview with a local media outlet, PTI Social Media Secretary Arsalan Khalid said, “The ‘one click to Imran Khan’ app will allow voters to send a message to the leader about key issues in their area. Every day, the best five to six questions will be shortlisted and Khan will call the selected users to address their concerns.”

According to PTI social media team member, “Other parties are spending millions on sponsored posts and their digital campaign and Facebook has restricted organic reach recently which requires one to pay to reach a wider audience.”

He claims this had been a growing concern to the PTI as the party didn’t allocate funds for its social media. However, the claim couldn’t be independently verified.

Meanwhile, other parties are also making the most of social media platforms to reach out to misses like never before.

Pakistan People’s Party has also established its social media digital cell has been inside the Bilawal House.

A member of the cell said, “This time though, there is more competition and it’s all about how innovative and effective your communication strategy is.”
