The movie will consist of classic and as well as new songs which will be composed by Alan Menken.

The casting call for Aladdin started in 2017. The team wanted diverse actors which is why they went over the hunt with a fine tooth comb.

The film stars Mena Massoud who will play the lead role of Aladdin, alongside Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as the Genie.

At this year’s CinemaCon, Will Smith said that the role of the genie will be “a little bit Hitch, a little Fresh Prince and with a whole lot of attitude,” putting his own spin on the wish-granter.

Marwan Kenzari is playing Jafar, Navid Negahban is playing the of Sultan and Nasim Pedrad will be playing Dalia, the handmaiden and confidante to Princess Jasmine who did not appear in the original.

The character of a suitor was missing in the original version. In the remake of the movie, Billy Magnussen will play the role of  Prince Anders.

The character of Prince Anders sparked a lot of controversy last year due to the addition of the role and ethnicity of the actor who is casted.

We are super excited to see the promos of the movie.
