PPP only hope for country’s future: Aseefa

Author: Our Correspondent

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari said on Friday that the PPP was the only hope for the country’s bright future. She was addressing a gathering of PPP women activists held at Khuhro House in connection with the Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s election campaign in NA-200, and of Nida Khuhro, daughter of Nisar Khuhro, in PS-11.

Aseefa said Bilawal had launched his election campaign based on the party’s manifesto to serve the masses, urging the gathering to strengthen the PPP leader’s hands and ensure the party’s success. She said the party had performed well in Sindh and added that a lot was yet to be done. She claimed that health facilities in the province had been improved and National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) was now providing treatment to heart patients free of cost. She asserted that 2018 elections would be the first for Bilawal and the last for his opponents. “PPP is the only party which has rendered sacrifices for the people and no other party has ever done that,” she said, adding that the graveyard of the Garhi Khuda Bux was a testament to that.

PPP Sindh chief Nisar Khuhro said that some of those contesting the election against against Bilawal were the same people who supported Gen. Ziaul Haq. He said the supporters of dictators would be defeated in the upcoming elections. Nida Khuhro said she was confident that women of the area would send her to the assembly and teach her opponents a lesson.
