NAB raids SBCA official’s residence, seizes possessions

Karachi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducted a search raid on the house of an official of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Thursday night.

The house of SBCA Deputy Director General Adil Omer was raided and searched late on Thursday night under search warrant issued by a judicial magistrate.

According to the details, the search was conducted for the purpose of tracing and recovering illegal assets.

The search raid was based on important tip-offs and leads uncovered during an inquiry on Adil Omer.

The SBCA official was being inquired on allegations of accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income and living beyond means

The Authority recovered several luxury vehicles, cash and assets worth over a billion rupees from the residence of Adil Omer.

Given below is the list of properties recovered under law and included in inquiry proceedings as case property:

1. Vehicle Mercedes C class model 2016 worth 8-9 million rupees

2. Vehicle Toyota Premio worth 2.8 million

3. Suzuki swift model 2014

4. Documents of land cruiser model 2014 worth 22 million rupees.

5. Cash/prize bonds : Rs 5.5 million

6. Plots worth more than 500 million

7. Three properties in Dubai

8. Bank accounts with available balance of 50 million.

Accused was not arrested as he is under interim bail granted by the Sindh High Court.
