DADU: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists on Friday poured onto the streets of Dadu and other towns of the district to celebrate the accountability court’s verdict against Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar.

Reportedly, the jubilant workers distributed sweets amongst the residents of Dadu, Mehar, KN Shah and Johi towns, and later flocked in front of press club.

The rallies, led by PTI’s district president Ashiq Ali Zour in Dadu and PTI’s divisional information secretary Dr Ghulam Abbas, welcomed the court’s verdict and danced to drumbeats while terming it as their victory.

The accountability court has sentenced ten years of rigorous imprisonment to Nawaz Sharif, seven years to Maryam Nawaz and one-year jail time to Safdar.

The court has further ordered to confiscate his Avenfield property and imposed fine of 8 and 2 million pounds on Nawaz and his daughter, respectively.
