RAWALPINDI: With the monsoon season setting in, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Talat Gondal on Sunday directed the concerned departments to intensify anti-dengue efforts in the garrison city.
Chairing a meeting of city officials on Sunday, Gondal termed prevention a far better tool than any cure to dengue. The DC also appreciated the work of the dengue surveillance teams. The teams have been going door-to-door in different parts of the city to check if there are any spots where the dengue larvae can germinate. He added that dengue can only be eliminated through coordinated efforts of all departments and the public.
“Dengue is our common enemy, therefore every individual and government department should discharge their responsibilities for eliminating dengue,” he said.
