22 candidates served notices for violating ECP code of conduct

LAHORE: District Administration has issued  show cause notices to the candidates of PML N, PPPP, PTI, MMA, Tarheek e Labbaik and independent candidates who have repeatedly violated the publicity code of conduct of Election Commission of Pakistan.

The candidates who have been served show cause notices have installed their unspecified and unapproved  banners, steamers, flexes and Bill boards in different parts of provicial and national constituencies.

DC Lahore / District Monitoring Officer Lahore Captain (r) Anwar ul Haq has issued the show cause notices, asking candidates to submit their reply within one day as to why action is not taken against them.

The candidates, who ware served with show cause notices, include Ayaz Sadiq NA 129, Rana Masood PP 152, Arshad Dogar PP 152, Malik Karamat Ali Khokhar NA 135, Aleem khan PP162, Akthar Hussain PP166, Rana Bukthair Ahmed PP 171, Malik Afzal Khokhar NA 136, Asghar Butt PP 147,  kh. Suleman Rafique  PP 157, Malik Sarfraz Khokhar  PP 157, Hammad Azhar NA 126, Munawar Zaman PP 152, Ch Asif Nagra PP 152, Main Ifthikar PP 156, Yousaf Mayo PP 165, Ramzan Saddique PP 166, Shoib Saddique PP157, Malik Karamat Ali Khokhar NA 135, Abdul Nadeem PP 162, Muhammad Ameer ul Azeem PP 161and Tariq Sadat PP 147.

These candidates were issued notices under election act 2017 and they have violated the article 23 and 25 of the election publicity code of conduct.
