Interim govt committed to pursue public welfare projects

National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) Managing Director Amjad Khan called on Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hassan Askari at his office on Wednesday and discussed with him matters relating to the projects started in collaboration with NESPAK.

Speaking on the occasion, Caretaker Punjab CM Dr Hassan Askari appreciated the collaboration rendered by NESPAK in various ongoing projects. He said that interim government has been continuing public welfare projects.

“The government is working with commitment, passion and hard work to provide facilities to the citizens,” he added.

The caretaker chief minister Punjab said that line departments have taken prompt action to deal with the situation arising due to unusual rain. The Mall Road will be opened for traffic soon after fixing the sinkhole, he added.

Dr Hassan Askari further stated that an inquiry committee has started to investigate the matter and necessary steps would be taken in the light of report of this committee. He said that administration and line departments have arduously worked in a professional manner to normalise the unusual situation.

NESPAK MD Amjad Khan said that his department will provide free consultancy for development projects and cooperation with the Punjab government will be further strengthened.
