Federal Ombudsperson against Harassment of Women Kashmala Tariq attended the seminar Tracking Job Quota for the Women in Punjab, held by Peace & Development Foundation on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Kashmala Tariq urged women to come out of the culture of silence and make their voices heard. She said that the office of Ombudsperson is always there to provide amicable support to the victims of harassment. However, she said, the issue of harassment is deeply ingrained in our society and we need to join hands at every level to provide an enabling environment to women in society and to encourage them to play their active role in different spectrums of life.

According to a recent Memorandum of Understanding signed between office of the Ombudsperson and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Tariq also informed the audience that FOSPAH has started working with several chambers of commerce and other relevant forums to improve the working environment for the women.
