Nawaz got political asylum in London, says Zardari

Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has got political asylum in London.

In an interview,  Zardari said he wants to see his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as prime minister, however, he said Bilawal can  learn while sitting on opposition benches.

Talking about Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) new president, he said “whether Shahbaz Sharif run fast or slow”, vote bank belongs to the former prime minister and it will be then shifted to his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Moreover, the PPP co-chairman said that he never spoke about a coalition with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Nawaz Sharif is currently in London to attend ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

The accountability court had said it would announce its verdict in the Avenfield case on July 6.

However, Nawaz has said that the accountability court should delay announcing the verdict in the Avenfield case till he returns to Pakistan.
