The Mental Bully

Author: Komal Masood

According to me, a bully compares to a virus that eats the brain of people by intimidating and hurting them through words or actions. A mental bully repeatedly attacks people’s confidence and kills people from the inside and makes them feel that they are not good enough. People who suffer from bullying cannot help but feel worthless and become emotionally weak. Physically they appear to be fine but the truth is that they are fighting a battle in their hearts and minds. The bully remains inside their heads, constantly pulling them down. They begin to degrade themselves and move towards a pessimistic approach. They start believing that they cannot please anyone, hence they choose to isolate themselves from everyone.

They think they can’t do anything good to others because of their lost self-esteem. They lose the courage to stand in crowds and interact with people. Honestly, they feel completely lost, they are in their worst phase of life. I have also noticed that those who suffer from bullying don’t even try to make friends anymore.  They are scared of being made fun of. Bullies destroy them emotionally by humiliating them. The mental bully thinks that by making fun of them, he/she will feel better but the reality is that whoever is trying to bring others down is already below them.

The person who is bullied yearns for love and respect.  These are the people who show care and empathy towards others. I have seen people who do mental bully are of 19 to 22 years old like seriously, you people are grown up adults there are lots of things to do in this world so, forgot sake stop pointing and wasting time on others by telling them you are weaker than me. Please use this time and energy for some good purpose definitely you will be successful in your field/career or what else.

If you are the one being bullied, let them judge you and gossip about you. Their opinions are not your problem. You must stay committed to love. No matter what the mental bully says,  do not ever doubt your worth.

“When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go so low, we go high.” – Michelle Obama
