‘Afghan president did not attend ECO Summit on India’s directives’

ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Rehman Malik has said that Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani should have attended the ECO Summit in Islamabad.

In a statement, he said that the Afghan president had the opportunity to discuss bilateral issues with the Pakistani leadership during the visit. Malik said Ashraf Ghani did not attend the ECO Summit at the command of India.

The former interior minister said that terrorism is common threat to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
