GUJRANWALA: During the month of June, the Rescue 1122 department received 4,274 emergency calls while the teams rescued 4,286 people in total. According to the statistics revealed by the district emergency officer Umer Ghuman, 1,430 calls were related to traffic accidents, 2,244 people called during medical emergencies, 72 incidents were related to fire outbreaks, 108 calls reported crime cases, 12 calls were made during drowning incidents and two calls informed building collapses.
Meanwhile, other emergencies totaled 405 calls. Ghuman further asserted that medical teams also provided first aid to 1,309 injured people and shifted another 2,821 patients to hospitals.
