The desire

Author: Marryam Suleman

She wanted to be the one,

Rising up, with each step taken

Be the one fighting the dread destined

The one diving deep,

Into the pastness of the past

Not caring what the coming held,

She loved rain, but feared the thunder

Beyond while she lit herself

She loved fire and its spark, the bolt of

Lightning and its wrath

For care did she not for the unseen cries.

The demonic fright and the roaring skies
