Chief secretary seeks progress report on development schemes

Sindh Chief Secretary Azam Suleman Khan, during a meeting on Sunday, gave the Planning and Development (P&D) Department three days to submit the progress reports of various development schemes.

Azam Suleman Khan specifically asked for reports pertaining to the Public Health Department, Special Initiative Department, Works and Services Department, Sindh Coal Authority (SCA) and Thar developmental schemes.

Presiding over a high level meeting to this effect, the Chief Secretary also desired reports covering the handing over of schemes to relevant departments. He added that information about completed, satisfactory and ongoing schemes must be included in the progress reports.

On the occasion, Suleman Khan said that the secretaries and concerned officers should be present at all meetings. He said that the officials could send representatives in their stead only if there was an emergency.

Secretary Finance Dr. Noor Alam, Secretary Planning & Development Department Dr. Shireen Mustafa, Secretary Energy Rashid Hussain Kazi, Secretary Local Government Khalid Hyder Shah, Secretary Works & Services Abdul Raheem Shaikh, DG Sindh Coal Authority Abu Bakkar Ahmed , Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Saif ur Rehman and other senior officers attended the meeting.
