SHIKARPUR: A suspected terrorist and his accomplice on late Saturday broke through the lockup’s roof of Chak police station and managed to flee.

Reportedly, the suspect Abdul Rasheed Jatoi and his accomplice Daud Mahar have been charged with terrorism chargers in an FIR (first information report) lodged against him.

The suspects used to collect extortion money and opened fire on the public.

According to the police sources, they were remanded in police custody for the last three days. However, they broke iron grill of lockup’s roof and escaped.

Meanwhile, the Shikarpur senior superintendent of police (SSP) Shaukat Khatiyan took notice of the incident and ordered to register a case against head constable Akbar Channa, night in-charge, and police constable Naimatullah Hakro.

Consequently, the police lodged an FIR against both officers and arrested them for interrogation.
