SHIKARPUR: An accused nominated in terrorism case managed to escape from police lock-up on Sunday from Police Station Chaak town in Shikarpur.
According to reports, suspect Abdul Rasheed Jatoi was nominated in an FIR lodged against him under terrorism charges fled from police lock-up after breaking an iron grill of roof of the police lockup along with other suspect named Daud Mahar.
Abdul Rasheed Jatoi was nominated in case of extortion and exhibition of armours publically.
The Station House Officer (SHO) told that the two crime-suspects were in police custody for last three days for investigation in a case of extortion and exhibition of armours publically.
Shaukat Khatiyan, a newly posted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur took notice Of the issue and ordered registration of First Investigation Report (FIR) against night in-charge head constable Akbar Channa and police constable Naimatullah Hakro as per the rules. The SSP further issued an order to track the location of fled persons.
Meanwhile, the police took the night in-charge constable and the police constable under their custody for interrogation.
