59 candidates receive election symbols for NA-43, NA-44 in Khyber

KHYBER: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Election Commission (PEC) on Saturday allotted election symbols to approved candidates for NA-43 and NA-44 constituencies of Khyber Agency, a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to KP PEC, the symbols were allotted to the independent candidates on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to the rules and regulation issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Reportedly, the KP PEC has declared a final list approving 18 candidates for NA-43 and 41 candidates for NA-44 to contest elections in the upcoming general election-2018.

In the constituency of NA-43 (Landi Kotal and Jamrud), there are 262,627 registered voters including 126,574 male and 100,053 female voters.

In the constituency of NA-44 (Bara-cum-Tirah), there are 265,217 registered voters including 150,956 male and 114,261 female voters.
