Eradicate drug culture

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Recently, provincial president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and candidate for the NA-268 seat, Abdul Qadir Baloch, urged the people to raise awareness regarding the use of drugs, as this menace has been spreading throughout society. The seminar was organized by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Chagi district in order to mark the International Day against Drugs Abuse and illicit trafficking. Drug addiction has been paralysing the Pakistani youth mentally and physically. Our youth’s future is being destroyed because of this social evil.

According to Abdul Qadir Baloch, the drug menace in our society will never be purged unless we can provide jobs, education and healthy avenues to our youngsters. Unfortunately, this alone is not the final solution to eradicate drug culture and save the people.

At this point, it won’t matter how many addicts are sent to rehabilitation facilities as long as the trafficking of drugs continues to increase. This is a problem which must be tackled with complete resolve otherwise it will engulf our society. By then it will be too late to do anything.
