SNT begins election campaign in Hyderabad, criticises Sharjeel Memon

HYDERABAD: The Sindh National Tehreek (SNT) chairman Ashraf Noonari on Friday took a whirlwind tour of provincial constituency PS-63 (Hyderabad-II) and held corner meetings while visiting union councils of Tando Fazal, Tando Hyder, Tando Jam and Bahwal Zanour.

Meanwhile, SNT’s candidate Lala Qurban Sodhro was also present on the occasion.

Reportedly, to acquire public’s support for the upcoming elections, Noonari criticised Sharjeel Memon for committing corruption and rigging elections in 2013.

“Sharjeel spent most of his time abroad during the past five years, and enjoyed luxuries,” he said while adding that he did not resolve any of the issues in his constituency.

“Nearly 65 percent of the constituency faces an acute shortage of potable water, power crisis while schools and hospitals were left in a state of destitution,” he further said while accusing Sharjeel of possessing hundreds of acres of land of Miani Forest in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

“By committing massive corruption and looting resources of Sindh, he has become blue-eyed boy of Asif Ali Zardari,” he claimed.

He also accused him for passing ‘anti-Sindh’ bills in the assembly and urged the people to redress their mistakes by casting votes to SNT candidate.
