Open market: The dollar remained plus against the rupee, dealers said. It started day’s trading at Rs 123.75 for buying and closed at Rs 123.90 for buying after gaining 15 paisas in value and stood at Rs 124.10 for selling. The euro remained firm versus the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 142 for buying, with 75 paisas change in value it closed at Rs 142.75 for buying and at Rs 142.95 for selling. The pound sterling remained flat against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 162.25 for buying, closed at same level for buying and closed at Rs 162.45 for selling.
