Realignments in Dadu as several political activists join PTI

DADU: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) continues to lose its political influence in the district of Dadu and other parts of Sindh province as many PPP leaders and senior activists have announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday at the residence of PTI leader and former Sindh chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi.

Reportedly, the former caretaker provincial minister for forests and wildlife Ghulam Rasool Unar, along with his political supporters, arrived at Betto Jatoi village, and held a consultative meeting with PTI’s candidate for NA-234 Liaquat Ali Jatoi.

Besides meeting him, 11 chiefs of different villages and PPP leaders of Mehar subdivision also met former senator and PTI’s candidate for provincial assembly seat PS-84 Sadaqat Ali Jatoi and PTI’s candidate for NA-235 Karim Ali Jatoi.

During a press conference, the influential politicians including Soojhro Meerwani, Raees Hazar Khan Lashari, Drya Khan Lashari, Mehar Khan Sohag, Nazar Khan Sohag, Birkat Chandio, Rabnawaz Jatoi, Islam Jatoi, Khalid Jatoi, Loung Tunio, Raees Wahid Bux Tunio declared to join PTI.

Meanwhile, local PPP leaders including Haji Hyder Langah, Gahi Khan Langah and Ghulam Qadir Langah, Abdullah Khokhar, Wasim Khokhar, Haji Sattar, Yaqoob Khokhar and Daim Mallah pledged to support PTI during a public gathering held at Shah Panjo Sultan in the district of Dadu.

While addressing the public gathering, Liaquat Ali Jatoi expressed joy and called it ‘a victory for PTI’s leadership’.

“Now, PTI has a strong vote bank in Sindh,” he said adding that PTI would be able to secure majority of the votes and seats in Sindh.

“PTI would form federal as well as provincial governments in Sindh, Punjab, KP and Balochistan,” he added.

PTI’s candidate for PS-85 Sardar Ashiq Ali Zour, local PTI leadership including Niaz Khan Buriro, Dr Khalil Sikandar Khunharo, Irfan Solangi, Saeed Soomro were also present on the occasion.
