ISLAMABAD: Accountability court on Thursday approved a one-day exemption from court appearance to former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif along with daughter Maryam Nawaz in Avenfield references.
The proceedings are underway under at the court, being heard by Judge Mohammad Bashir.
During the hearing, Maryam’s counsel Amjad Pervez started presentation of his final arguments, stating that he will conclude the arguments within 3-4 days.
Judge Bashir, approved a one-day request for exemption from court appearance filed on behalf of Nawaz and Maryam.
A medical report of Begum Kulsoom was also submitted and filed for a seven-day exemption request for the defendants.
He added that Kulsoom Nawaz’s report will be submitted to the court once its recieved.
Begum Kulsoom has been on life support since June 14 after suffering from a cardiac arrest and is under treatment at Harley Street Clinic in London.
Nawaz and family are under trial in National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) supplementary corruption references.
