DIG Operations directs SPs to ensure ban on displayed weapons

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Shahzad Akbar has directed all divisional Superintendent Police to take action for displaying arms during political public meetings on Wednesday.

He added that all divisional SPs should ensure the ban on displaying arms during any political public meeting regarding campaign of the upcoming General Elections. The DIG said that city police is utilising all its available resources to hold General Elections in a very peaceful environment.

No worker of any political party is allowed to display arms during any public meeting. He further said that all DSPs and Station House Officers should meet the candidates of all political parties to sort out all security matters.
