SUKKUR: Appellate tribunal on Wednesday rejected Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Manzoor Wassan’s PS-27 Khairpur candidacy.

Wassan’s nomination papers had been challenged by a member of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Mir Zaheer Talpur over undeclared assets in Dubai. According to Wassan, he had declared all his assets in his nomination papers and was uncertain why his papers candidacy had been rejected.

Wassan asserted that he would consult with the Sindh High Court (SHC) over the matter of his nomination papers’ rejection.
