Rajkumar Hirani, who is the director of the movie, has recently revealed a lesser known fact about Munna Bhai whilst speaking about his film. Hirani shares close ties with Sanjay Dutt, and told India Today that Sanjay Dutt would often tell women blatant lies to win their praises and create an emotional attachment with them.
Apparently, the troubled superstar would take girls to a random grave with him and tell them it is his mother’s, thereby making them feel special. “I have brought you here to meet my mother,” Hirani Quoted Sanjay as saying. Hirani continued, “After this unusual meeting, the girl would feel emotionally attached to Sanju. The reality was that the grave was not his mother’s.”
Hirani also said that Dutt used to bear grudges against those girls who would dump him. “A girl broke up with him, so Sanjay took his friend’s new car and smashed it into another car parked outside his ex-girlfriend’s house. Later on, he found out that the car he rammed into belonged to his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. Both cars were severely damaged,” Hirani reminisced.
In the movie, ‘Sanju’, Sanjay’s girlfriend count has been revealed to be more than 300. Sanjay Dutt was notorious for having love relationships with junior, senior, and contemporary female artists, according to the publication.
On being inquired upon his own count of girlfriends, Ranbir revealed his count to be much lesser. “No. I actually won’t allow it. I don’t think I am a courageous enough man like Sanju sir to give my life out so openly. But my count has been less than 10, so people can’t make a biopic on me,” said Kapoor when the trailer of the movie was released. Kapoor also talked about how Sanjay’s father got to know about his son’s addiction. “This particular time, Baba was so high on drugs that he thought a candle was burning Sunil Dutt saab’s head. Sanjay then proceeded to put out the imaginary candle. It was then that Dutt saab got to know that Sanju was completely hooked on to drugs.”
‘Sanju’ is releasing this weekend, on June 29, and is set to rule the box office.
