Water Resources minister pays a visit to WAPDA House

Water Resources Federal Minister Syed Ali Zafar visited the Water & Power Development Authority House (WAPDA) on Tuesday where WAPDA Chairman Lieutenant General Muzammil Hussain (r) briefed him about the issues of water and hydropower sectors in the country.

The minister was also apprised on WAPDA projects, particularly the Diamer Basha Dam and Mohmand Dam.

Dilating upon the efforts made by WAPDA to cope with the increasing needs of water and electricity, the chairman said that WAPDA succeeded in completing almost four mega projects since August 2017 to irrigate 72,000 acres of barren land in Dera Bugti, Balochistan and additional 2487MW of hydel electricity to the National Grid.
