Sridevi gets best actor award at IIFA 2018

Bollywood actress Sridevi, who passed away in the beginning of this year, got the best actor award at International Indian Film Academy Awards 2018 which was held in Bangkok this year. Her husband, Boney Kapoor received her award. She got the best actress award for her movie Mom (2017) in which she played a role of a mother who’s seeking justice for her step daughter after her sexual assault.

Sridevi’s co-star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui bagged best supporting actor for his performance in Mom.

Tumhari Sulu, starring Vidya Balan won the best film award. The movie is about a housewife who becomes a RJ (Radio Jockey).

Irfan Khan won the best actor for Hindi Medium which is a Saba Qamar starrer. The movie narrates the story of two parents in a pursuit good education for their daughter.

Saket Chauhadry also got the best director award for Hindi Medium. Anupum Kher was presented with an Outstanding Achievement award by Anil Kapoor. Rekha danced gracefully on the stage of IIFA after 20 years.

It was a star studded night which witnessed the perfomaces of other fine actors of B-town like, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Arjun Kapoor and many others.
