Suthar candidate from Thar vows better education facilities for girls

Hyderabad: Independent candidate from provincial assembly constituency PS-57 Diplo Tharparkar, Bharat Kumar Kheemani Suthar has vowed better education facilites for girls.

By profession, Bharat is advocate at Sindh High Court.

The candidate told Daily Times that he was belonging to a middle class family and hailing from the most educated village of Tharparkar, Malhnor Vena.

“To provide more facilities in education sector is the only way to bring change in this deprived region,” said Bharat.

He said girl’s education would be his first priority after winning the poll. “Through vocational trainings and establishing the educational centers, I will provide them a path to explore and exhibit their dedicated efforts in the field of education,” he said.

“Thari females are more creative as compared to other parts  of the country, but due to the lack of resources and proper channel they are not able to show their hundred percent,” he added.

Responding to a question about his plans to bring improvement in education sector , Bharat told, “Bureaucracy is the main hindrance in the process, one sound District Education Officer (DEO) could play vital role in this regard.”

While quoting the survey based report published by Thar Education Alliance (TEA) pertaining to the status of education in PS-57 constituency, the candidate said that there is a total of 955 schools in Diplo.
Out of which, 631 lack proper water facilities, 729 schools are without electricity. Whereas, 477 schools are without any boundary walls and more than 428 schools are deprived of sanitary facilities.

He went on to say that small communities should make alliances and come forward if they want to bring change.
