The gun which was used by Han Solo in ‘The Return of Jedi’ got auctioned at $550,000.

The auction took place on Saturday at museum chain Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, said Julien’s Auctions.

The gun is one of the most known weapons of Star Wars Universe and it was also used by Harrison Ford’s character in the 1983 movie, a BlasTech DL-44.

As depicted in the film, the gun does not fire a real bolt of energy. The prop was made by U.S. art director on Return of the Jedi, James L. Schoppe for the movie.

The pre-sale estimated price of the prop was $300,000 to $500,000, Julien’s Auctions said.

Star Wars props are the most popular collectibles among all others. Previous year, Luke Skywalker’s light saber prop was auctioned for $450,000 and and R2-D2 droid was sold for $2.7 million.
