New Health Secretary Punjab assumes charge of office

The newly appointed Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education Secretary Saqib Zafar has assumed the charge of his office and chaired a meeting of departmental briefing, on Sunday.

Special Health Secretary Usman Moazzam, Additional Technical Secretary Dr Salman Shahid, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti and other concerned officers attended the briefing session. The health secretary was briefed about the working of different wings of the department. He was briefed about the development wing, administration, technical, medical education and Hospital Waste Management System. While addressing the meeting, the health secretary said that strengthening of health sector and provision of quality healthcare services to the people is the priority of the government.
