Imran’s discourse is old stuff already rejected by people: Marriyum

Imran’s discourse at Mianwali public rally is the same old stuff that he has been selling for the last five years, said PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday.

In a statement, Marriyum said that it was a pack of old lies and allegations already rejected by the people. She said that Imran had delivered nothing but he could have at least changed the speech writer.

Marriyum said that instead of repeating the five years old rhetoric he should tell what he had done for the people of KP during that period.

Referring to Imran’s claim that 100,000 children from private schools had sought admissions to public schools, the spokesperson said that his assertion was akin to his claim of planting a billion trees in the province.

She said that instead of churning out lies Imran should have at least apologised to the people of KP for his incompetence and inability to deliver.

Taking a jibe at PTI chief, she said: “People in Europe do not wait for the umpire’s finger to topple an elected government. They neither curse the parliament nor attack it.”

She reminded Imran that the repetition of unfounded allegations and concocted stories did not transform them into truth.

Marriyum claimed that the people of Pakistan would corroborate the work done by Nawaz Shaif and Shehbaz Sharif on July 25. The spokesperson said that Imran could not compete with performance of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and that the jealousy against them had affected him mentally.

Marriyum said that Imran should have also told the public about any project that he had completed during the last five years. She advised him to mention some of the projects initiated and completed by the Sharifs in his next speech.
