KARACHI: President of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP), Asif Ali Zardari, has shown serious resentment over the absence of provincial ministers from their offices during official timings. He was holding a meeting with the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, who was giving him a detailed briefing over the performance of cabinet ministers, provincial governance, and the political situation of the province at Bilawal House in Karachi on Wednesday. Zardari showed his disapproval over the absence of ministers from the offices of their respective ministries citing the fact that they are the representatives of the province and have to serve the people. The people choose to elect their representatives through their vote for their services to the general public and the elected representatives should serve the people as much as possible, he remarked. He directed the chief minister to make sure of the active participation of these officials and stressed the need to understand the value of time. Shah informed the PPPP President that work on development projects is going on in full swing and they were trying to complete all projects in time. He stated that he would be monitoring all projects personally as most of the mega projects will be completed by 2018. “We are working on Thar coal projects at a fast pace, and all projects relating with China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) have been discussed thoroughly with the Chinese Consulate” he added.
