After approval from the Election Commission of Pakistan, Punjab caretaker government continued its transfer of posting male and female officials in Punjab Police Department while Superintendent Police Security Lahore Ammara Athar is performing her duties on the same seat.

According to details, a number of policemen and women were transferred in different parts of the province for general election as many police officials belong to other cities of the province deputed in Lahore. In this connection, all serving police women officers have changed other than SP Security.

Sources said that SP Dr Anush Masood was transferred to Kasur, SP Shahida Nasreen was deputed to Nankana Sahib, SP Sadaf Fatima was transferred to Hafizabad and SP Saira Bano has been transferred to Narowal immediately. They said police officers and officials were also shifted in different cities of the province while a number of police officials are still enjoying their seats in Lahore due to their connections with high level officers, political leaders and other forces.

They added that an SP, Deputy Superintendent Police or Station House Officer were transferred in other cities to arrange free and fair elections but the other police officials in Operation & Investigation wings are still working in the city police stations and other offices.

Only those officials have not been transferred who have strong connections in important places.
