Protesters demand security for female employees in transport companies

A number of women gathered outside the Lahore Press Club on Saturday to hold peaceful protest demanding security for female employees, especially in transport companies.

The protesters were also carrying placards with different slogans. They demanded that transport owners as well as government ensure security of working women, especially in buses.

It was also mentioned that the recent incident, where a bus hostess was shot dead by a security guard, has caused panic among the employees and their families.

The protesting women also threatened to quit their jobs if their demands are not met.
