Reportedly, the returning officers (ROs) approved nomination forms of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Pir Hassan Ali Shah, independent candidates including Syed Ali Nawaz Shah and Raja Abdul Haq, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) candidate Syed Inayat Ali Shah, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Rais Ahmed Khan, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) candidate Sanjay Parwani, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) candidate Sarfaraz Ali Junejo, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Roop Chand Hotwani, Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan (TTP) Masood Wassan and many others to contest elections for NA-218 constituency of Mirpur Khas-I in the upcoming general elections.
Regarding NA-219 constituency of Mirpurkhas-II, the ROs cleared nomination papers of PPP candidates including Mir Munwar Ali Talpur, Mir Hassaan Ali Talpur, Mir Mehboob Ali Talpur, independent candidate Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, PTI candidate Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, PML-N candidate Sajjad Ahmed, GDA candidate Arbab Ghulam Raheem and others.
Regarding provincial assembly seat PS-47 constituency of Mirpurkhas I, the nomination forms of candidates including PML-N Muhammad Asif Rajput, MQM-P Mujeeb-ul-haq and Asim Afridi, PPP Hari Ram Kishori Lal and Karan Kumar, PTI Aftab Quershi, PSP Shabir Ahmed Qaimi, TTP Faqeer Qasir Khan Mari, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Asim Sheikh and Hafiz Muhammad Akbar, and others were accepted.
For provincial assembly seat PS-48 constituency of Mirpur Khas II, the nomination papers of candidates including PPP Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, MQM-P Mir Shah Muhammad, PML-F Sarfarz Ali Junejo, TTP Masood Wassan and others were approved.
For provincial assembly seat PS-49 constituency of Mirpurkhas III, the nomination forms of Nawaz Ahmed Bhurguri, Arif Bhurguri, Syed Nawaz Ali Shah and others were cleared.
For provincial assembly seat PS-50 constituency of Mirpur Khas IV, the nomination forms submitted by PPP candidate Mir Haji Hayat Talpur, GDA candidate Arbab Ghulam Raheem, PML-N candidate Sajjad Ahmed, Syed candidate Mumtaz Ali Shah and others were approved.
Meanwhile, the candidates have inaugurated offices in their respective constituencies for election campaign, and are trying to persuade the general public to vote for them in the upcoming general elections.
The political parties have published and displayed banners and posters for election advertisement.
The business of printing banners, stickers, hoardings and party flags is gaining momentum with each passing day.
