Six people killed in Dadu over old enmity between tribes

DADU: At least six people were killed on Friday in an armed attack near central jail on Dadu-Sehwan Indus Highway.

According to the Dadu Police, the attack was motivated by an old enmity between Mari and Lashari tribes. Armed men belonging to Mari tribe attacked Lashari tribesmen while they were on their way to Dadu city.

Reportedly, the deceased were identified as Mithal lashari, Shahid Lashari, Hidayat Lashari, Mashooq Lashari, Badal lashari and Azam. Meanwhile, the dead bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital in Dadu. The Dadu senior superintendent of police (SSP) Tanvir Ahmed Tunio said that officers have started investigation into the incident, and would arrest the suspected murderers as soon as possible.
