Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Professor Agha Shabir Ali has congratulated all the teams especially its head Professor Muhammad Nazir and expressed hope that senior professors and doctors of LGH would continue their efforts in future also to make this hospital a model for others.
Talking in this regard, Muhammad Nazir said that this machine costs around Rs 2 crore and a private hospital charges Rs 200,000 per patient for this treatment. He said that stones in the kidney is not only treated here but is also converted into powder which is then drained through urine.
Moreover, the patient does not have to wait long and is discharged within 24 hours after operation. Nazir further said that in this way, urine bag is also not required after the operation and those patients can also be treated easily who are divers or need a belt.
Similarly, heart and cardiac patients using blood making medicine can also avail this opportunity and their kidneys can be functional within days. He said that this modern and latest treatment of Endoscopic Laser Lithrotripsy is less painful for the patients and would be popular soon.
Nazir expressed his determination that doctors of LGH would be working hard in future also for introducing latest and modern ways of treatment for the common man.
