Mehwish Hayat to star in Benazir Bhutto’s biopic

Mehwish Hayat is one of the most known actors of Pakistani TV/Film industry. She has earned a lot of appreciation by showing us her commendable acting skills and admirable personality.

While her acting has always made us praise her, this time we cannot wait to see her get into the shoes of PPP leader, Benazir Bhutto. In her recent Instagram post, Hayat confirms that she’s going to star in Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto’s biopic and she is all ready for the role of a lifetime.

Hayat is holding Benazir Bhutto’s book in her lap in the picture and she quotes her in the caption, “We have broken glass ceilings, we have broken the stereotypes, and we have been and continue to be prepared to go the extra mile, to be judged by unrealistic standards, to be held more accountable.”

She further said, “Today would have been Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s 65th birthday. It is an ideal time to reflect on her undoubted achievements.”

While praising Bhutto for breaking stereotypes, she said, “I have never really been a political person but leaving that aside there is no denying the great strides she made for women’s empowerment and equality in our country – everything we are still fighting for even today.”

The Actor In Law actor said, “There was a time when she made women believe that almost anything was possible – she gave us hope and inspired us to reach for the stars.”

She further said that she is doing research for Benazir Bhutto’s biopic, “I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to research and learn more about her life and sitting here I can only reflect on so much more that could have been had she not lost her life so tragically.”

She continued, “The sign of a true leader is the legacy they leave behind and the reverence with which the people remember her irrespective of party allegiances,” the starlet further wrote. She was a truly remarkable woman and I look forward to giving life to her story soon.”

Formerly, she shared a picture of a publication on Instagram, in which the writer had suggested her to play the role of the PPP leader.

When the news about the biopic went viral on social media, Hayat posted the picture on Instagram and wrote, “Benazir is a true hero of mine, a real powerful woman and a inspiration for many millions around the world. Would be a privilege and honour to play her on screen and bring her wonderful journey, her inspirational story to the world!”

We wish Mehwish Hayat all the luck and we hope she portrays Benazir Bhutto with the same beauty and grace that she had.

Hayat’s movie Punjab Nai Jaunge won a jury award at Shanghai Organisation Corporation and became the highest grossing movie of Pakistan as well. Her upcoming movie, Load Wedding stars Fahad Mustafa is all set to release on Eid-ul-Azha.
