Sir: Top political figures have declared their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan, and there have been some startling revelations. For example Maryam Nawaz owns jewellery worth a whopping Rs 1.7 million. The rest of the political leadership has also declared similar luxuries, such as another top politician and former President who owns six bullet proof vehicles.
Out of all of them though, Imran Khan has emerged as the poorest. He does not even own a car! Somehow however, he could still afford take his wife and close aides for a very expensive Umrah. Ironically, this is the same sort of thing Imran Khan and other PTI members love to criticize their opponents for.
I would advise the PTI Chief to get a personal vehicle for himself before paying for his friends’ Umrahs. Or, perhaps he could stop deceiving the people and have the ownership of the vehicles he uses transferred to his own name.
