Reportedly, a speedy car ploughed into a motorcycle at national highway, killing Ashraf Khokhar on the spot and injuring Ghulam Abbas. The bodies were rushed to Naushahro Feroze Hospital. The deceased’s body was handed over to his heirs after autopsy. Meanwhile, the area police arrested car driver and lodged a case against him.
Four people die, child injure in road crash near Kashmore
At least four people including two women were killed on Wednesday while a child sustained critical injuries in a road crash near Bakhshapur, a town of Kashmore district of Sindh province. Reportedly, two motorists parked their motorcycles at Mangar railway crossing for drinking water from a nearby shop. Suddenly, a speedy truck rammed into their motorcycles.
Resultantly, four people including Abdul Manan Mahar, his wife namely Irshad Bebi, their son Qasim Mahar and Savera died on the spot. A two-year-old child namely Pathan Mahar was injured. Meanwhile, the Kashmore Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Kashmore Hospital. The bodies were handed over to their heirs after conducting medico-legal formalities. The police arrested truck driver and lodged a case him.
Police, Rangers arrest nine criminals, seize weapons in raid on Dilo Ujjain Village The Gambat Police on Wednesday arrested nine suspected criminals and seized a big quantity of weapons from their possession during a raid on Dilo Ujjain Village near Khuhra city of Gambat sub-district.
Reportedly, the police officers, along with ranger personnel, launched a cordon and search operation in the village, and recovered two hand grenades, rifles, pistols, shot guns and a large quantity of cartridges and ammunitions. Meanwhile, the arrested criminals were shifted to unknown location for interrogation.
NACTE accredited B. Ed. (Hons) programme of SALU
The National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE) on Wednesday accredited the Bachelors in Education (B. Ed. Hons.) Programme offered by Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) in Khairpur.
Reportedly, the award of accreditation is based on the evaluation report of the programme that was compiled during accreditation visit by NACTE during February 2017. In this regard SALU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah extended her congratulations to the faculty members.
“The accreditation has been awarded to the department owing to dedication, commitment and quality assurance measures of the faculty members,” she said while expressing hope that they would continue struggle for improvement of quality education being provided to youths of Upper Sindh province.
