Police arrests man for raping 15-year-old boy in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: A 15-year-old boy was allegedly raped on Wednesday nearby a hotel at Rustam Chowk in Shikarpur.

According to police sources, a suspect namely Arshad Ahmed aka Arsho Sheikh abducted the boy namely Abdul Rahman Qureshi while representing himself as a police constable.

Later, he dumped his body.

Abdul, a resident of Rohri town of Sukkur district, came to Khanpur for meeting his elder sister on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He stopped at a hotel to buy some eatables.

Meanwhile, the victim revealed the whole incident to his parents, who lodged first information report (FIR) at the police station.

Consequently, the area police raided and arrested the suspect.

Furthermore, the police shifted the boy to the Civil Hospital in Shikarpur for medical examination where doctors observed sufficient evidence suggesting that the boy was raped. However, DNA samples were collected and sent to laboratory for further examination.
