Man arrested for raping 15-year-old boy in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: A man was arrested for allegedly raping and dumped a 15-year-old boy besides a hotel at Rustam Chowk in the jurisdiction of New Faujdari Police Station on Wednesday.

According to a police station official, a 15-year-old boy was forcibly taken to a house owned by the accused, identified as 30-year-old Arshad Ahmed, alias Arsho Shaikh, where he was subjected to rape and was later dumped.

The victim told the whole episode to his parents, after which the family reached at the concerned police station and registered an FIR under concerned section on the complaint of the boy’s father.

Police immediately, after finding identification of the suspect, arrested Arshad aka Arsho Shaikh and initiated investigation. Police moved the affected boy to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medical examination, which suggested that the boy was raped. DNA samples have been sent to laboratory for tests.

The victim was originally said to be resident of Rohri town of Sukkur and came to Khanpur tehsil of Shikarpur to meet his elder sister on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He was forcibly picked up by the accused from a nearby restaurant.
