Around 500 Sikh pilgrims will arrive in Lahore tomorrow (Thursday) through a special train to participate in the 179th death anniversary commemorations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

In this connection, Evacuate Trust Property Board (ETPB) has made all necessary arrangements to facilitate guests who are coming to attend the ceremony.

ETPB Spokesperson Amir Hashmi said that Board Secretary Muhammad Tariq Khan, Deputy Secretary Imran Gondal, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Pardhan Sardar Tara Singh and other officers of concerned departments will receive the guests.

He further said that foolproof security arrangements have been made to protect the Sikh pilgrims and participants of the death anniversary commemorations, adding that CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor suspicious activities. A team of doctors has also been deputed to provide medical facilities, if needed, to the pilgrims.
