ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has said the bureau is focusing of cases and not faces under its ‘Accountability of All’ policy.
In a statement, the anti-corruption watchdog chief said that the bureau was committed to capturing corrupt, proclaimed offenders and absconders as the whole nation had pinned high hopes on the NAB for eradication of corruption from the country.
“The bureau along with all stakeholders will come up to the expectations of the nation,” he said, adding that indiscriminate actions of the department have increased its prestige and image manifold due to visible action against the high and mighty.
He said that the NAB had reiterated the pledge to eradicate corruption at every cost, adding that all director generals of NAB had been directed not to spare any corrupt person.
The chairman directed all ranks of the NAB staff to work hard to purge the country of corrupt elements. Meanwhile, the Scrutiny Cell of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started verification of all the nominations papers of candidates.
