KHAIRPUR: The nomination forms submitted by former President of Pakistan and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari have been approved on Tuesday to contest election from the constituency NA-213 (Nawabshah-I) in the upcoming general elections-2018.

Reportedly, a petitioner raised an objection on Zardari’s candidature, and alleged that he had purchased 1,500 acres of agricultural land in Sanghar district of Sindh province, but did not pay land tax.

Meanwhile, the returning officer Muhammad Mehmood Awan rejected the objections, and gave him a ‘green signal’.

Furthermore, Awan also approved the nomination forms submitted by Sindh Taraqi Pasand chief Dr Qadir Mangsi to contest election from the same constituency..
