KHAIRPUR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former leader of the opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on Tuesday strongly denounced the construction of Kalabagh Dam.
While addressing a public gathering in Rohri, Shah said “Sindhi, Balochi and Pashtun community would resist the construction of Kalabagh Dam by all possible means.” Shah further asserted that political rivals of PPP have no contribution towards development, progress and welfare of the nation.
“PPP is the only political party that has capability, political will and integrity to resolve core issues of the general public of Pakistan,” he said adding that PPP-led government has initiated many development projects in Sindh province. “The development projects aim to reduce unemployment, develop industrial infrastructure and provide healthcare units that are equipped with advanced medical facilities,” he added. Shah expressed his optimism that PPP would clean sweep the upcoming general election 2018 by securing majority of the votes.
