DERA GHAZI KHAN: A social worker, Asiya Akbar, was killed by her younger sister’s father-in-law in Foja Basti area of Dera Ghazi Khan on Tuesday.
Police said the victim was on her way to Khanpur on a van when two men forced her to get off and shot her.
The father-in-law of Akbar’s younger sister, Aqsa, over suspicion shot the social worker and ran away, according to initial reports.
Furthermore, reports stated that Akbar brought her sister back to DG Khan from Khanpur after 15 days of her marriage.
An investigation is still under way and raids are being conducted to arrest the suspect.
