10 outlaws held, narcotics, weapons seized

Islamabad police on Monday arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, weapons and wine from them, a police spokesman said.

ASI Khalid Mehmood of Margalla police arrested Muhammd Zaheer and recovered wine from him. ASI Muhammad Hassan arrested Talat Mehmood and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with ammunition from him, while ASI Muhammad Inayat arrested Rashid for selling diesel illegally.

Sub-Inspector Shafqat Ali, ASIs Muhammad Sharif and Raiz arrested three accused, including Habibur Rehman, Abid Hussain and Muhammad Mureed and recovered 120 grams of hashish and two bottles of wine from them.

Sub-Inspector Tahir Khan Naizi of Koral police along with police team arrested four suspects.

Cases have been registered against all nabbed persons and further investigation was underway.

Islamabad SSP Najeebur Rehman Bugvi appreciated the performance of policemen and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in their respective areas.

He also issued directives to all police officials to tighten the security in their respective areas and enhance patrolling.
