703,255 registered voters expected to cast votes in Larkana

LARKANA: As many as 703,255 registered voters are expected to cast their votes for two National Assembly (NA) and four Provincial Assembly (PA) seats of Larkana on July 25 when the nation will be electing their leaders to govern the country for next five years.

According to figures of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), 336 polling stations will be established for NA-200 Larkana-1 and 359 for NA-201 Larkana-2. In this way, a total of 695 polling stations will be established along with 2,221 polling booths for both male and female voters for two NA seats.

As many as 336,139 registered voters will be using their right to vote including 153,581 female voters for NA-200 whereas 367,116 voters will cast their votes for NA-201 including 165,521 female voters. For four PA seats, as many as 703,255 voters will use their votes to elect their representatives including 318,706 female voters.

189 polling stations will be established for PS-10, 147 for PS-11, 180 for PS-12 and 179 polling stations will be established both for men & women voters for PS-13. In this way 695 polling stations will be established for both men & women for PA seats along with 2221 polling booths. IN PA seat PS-10, as many as 187,213 voters will cast their votes including 86,151 women voters, 148,926 voters will cast their voters in PS-11 including 67,430 women.

In PS-12, 184,985 voters are registered out of which 84,013 are female voters. In PS-13 as many as 182,113 voters will be casting their votes out of which 81,112 are females. In this way 703,255 registered voters will be using their right to vote for four PA seats of Larkana out of which 286,923 are females and 384,549 are males.

Tough contest is expected on all seats specially on PS-10 between PTI’s Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto and PPP’s Faryal Talpur if her nomination form gets through scrutiny and NA-200 between PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and MMA’s Rashid Mahmood Soomro who is also enjoying support of Larkana Awami Ittehad and Grand Democratic Alliance.
